A tornado touched down in Nash County, North Carolina causing severe damage to homes, roadways, and businesses. Residents of Nash County were warned to shelter in place as the tornado ripped through communities, knocking out trees and power lines. As a result, over 3,600 buildings were reported to be without power. Additionally, both life-threatening and non-life-threatening injuries in relation to the storm have been reported.
